The Linnergy Leadership Quotient (LQ) is a concept we, at Linnergy, developed to provide a simple and consistent focus for the understanding and development of leadership.

In simple terms the role of a leader is to improve the LQ of their business:

The Linnergy Leadership Quotient is equally applicable to an entire business or a part of a business, in assessing the effectiveness of leadership.

The key objective is to ensure control is maintained as the business grows and develops within an acceptable risk profile for the business. As you will have, no doubt, realised there is a dynamic interrelationship between these three components of LQ that requires balancing.

• Is your business adequately under control? What is the objective evidence?
• Is your business evolving as a satisfactory rate in order to (at least) maintain or improve your position in the market? What is the objective evidence?
• What is your business' risk profile (tolerance to risk) and is it performing within it?
• Are there issues, challenges or events that may, in the future, impact on the level of control, innovation and change your risk profile? Think about times this may have happened in the past.
